I realized that I haven’t written a single thing for this blog since 2012 began. My bad. I like writing and adding stuff to the blog, it just hasn’t been at the top of my priority list so I haven’t done it yet. So this year, I wanted to start out by formally introducing you to my fiancé. He’s pretty cool and even though he sometimes drives me crazy insane, I love him.
Aleks usually keeps to himself, wrapped up in our life, kids, and everything we have going on here. I watch him interact with other people and I’ve noticed he tends to hide his greatest qualities and his crazy amount of knowledge he possesses. He’s very modest. This guy is a genius! I’ve always known this. I’ve always enjoyed talking to him because he’s so smart and makes the most complicated things so easy to understand. He’s an I.T. guy and his knowledge ranges anywhere from building a computer, networking, servers and even corporate I.T. stuff. It’s stuff that is way over my head and I consider myself pretty smart with computers too. This is a pic of him working on his computer. He usually has this intense look when he’s working. I love it. Don’t try talking to him about anything when he looks like this. He won’t hear a word, he’s in the zone! 
Not only is he a genius, he’s a great man. Like everyone else in this world who has ever existed, he has his flaws but he’s still pretty amazing. We have a lot of the same personality traits and qualities which usually makes us a great team. This can also cause quite a few moments of head-butting but we’re learning how to use it to our advantage. We march to the beat of our own drum. Lots of people in our lives share their opinions, view points, and give lots of great advice for us but we typically do what we think is best for us and our situation. I try to be nice when accepting advice from friends or family but Aleks isn’t always as cordial as I am, which I love. Don’t get me wrong, this can be obnoxious too, he can be quite harsh but usually it’s funny and at times relieving because he says things I want to say but don’t out of an attempt at being kind. He’s quite an outspoken young man.
Aleks is also a wonderful father to his two children and my two children. He has always been so great with all of our kids which surprised me. He never really seemed like a ‘kid’ kind of guy. All in all, he does a great job. One of his favorite things to do is take the kids to the “Toy Store” and buy them toys. I’m not sure who enjoys the toys they come home with more, the kids or Aleks. It’s very cute.
I’m so happy to have this man in my life. He’s my rock. I love him so much.
